SUMMER LECTURE SERIES at PERISCOPE CELLARS

We begin our first ever Summer Lecture Series on Thursday July 2nd with the immensely talented Hugh Shurley.
Mr. Shurley is a self-taught photographer who has worked as an art director, teacher, and professional visual artist. His life has revolved around images, and he believes in being absolutely true to yourself in your art - that you should never apologize for your creations, nor should you be fearful of making mistakes, since some of your best work will come out of trial and error. Mr. Shurley will be speaking on this philosophy, and sharing some examples of his work.
He is also inviting you to bring along some samples of your own work to the lecture - he will be happy to review it and offer a sincere critique, as well as some advice to help guide you towards a more cohesive manifestation of your artistic vision.
To read Hugh's full bio and see more of his work please visit his website, hughshurley.com

This lecture will be held at Periscope Cellars in Emeryville, Thursday July 2nd. Doors open at 6pm, and the lecture begins at 6:30pm.
Following the lecture there will be a question & answer period, wine tasting, and the chance to speak with Mr. Shurley about his work and show him your own creations, if you like.
Read more about Periscope Cellars here:

Tickets are $20, and to keep the event intimate and be sure everyone gets the most out of the experience we are limiting seating to 50 attendees, so don't wait to reserve your spot. You can pay in person at Looking Glass, or call us and pay over the phone. (We'll keep your ticket at will call.)
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear an inspiring man speak about his life's work and get an invaluable critique of your own work, while supporting an awesome local winery. See you there!
