LOOKING GLASS PHOTOWALKS – PHOTOWALKING FOR GOOD
PHOTOWALKS FOR GOOD.
Our photowalks have us exploring interesting locations as a group, capturing and sharing what we see from behind the lens. Yet, we’re not like other photowalking groups — we “pay it forward.” Specifically, everyone that participates is encouraged to take their fun and enjoyment from these photowalks and support a local non-profit. Specifically, Looking Glass identifies a non-profit to support, and we inform the group about their mission and why they were selected. Whether or not you make a donation is completely up to you. If you do, the entire donation will go directly to the non-profit. It’s one way as a photography community that we can give back.
PHOTOWALK FOR GOOD: HISTORIC WINEHAVEN BUILDING, PT. MOLATE
This was our most recent walk. The walk (well, more an exploration) took place at the historic Winehaven brick building in Pt. Molate! This was an epic location. It is NOT open to the public, and we worked with the City of Richmond to make it happen. Roughly thirty photowalkers attended the walk, and we raise approximately $400 that we donated to the Richmond Art Center. This provided art supplies to many kids that needed the help to explore their personal artistic expression.
Join our Photowalking Group page on Facebook. We share photos and stay up to date on future walks there!
