We’re planning a Fujifilm Day at Looking Glass! The big day is Saturday, November 12th and the “headliner” for the day is the AMAZING Valerie Jardin (photographer, instructor, author and podcaster) who will be leading an equally amazing talk and photo walk. Discover all our plans for the day below.
ALL DAY – MEET THE FUJIFILM REPS!
We’ll have Geoff and Dana from Fujifilm here at the store all day! One of them will be available all day to char with you:
- Have a Fujifilm question? Get your answer direct from the source!
- Hold, discuss and try the latest cameras and lenses!
- Save with Instant Rebates on cameras AND lenses!
11:00AM – STREET PHOTOGRAPHY TALK & WALK (RSVP required):
Valérie will give an overview of the different ways to approach street photography. She will go over the ethical aspect of this popular genre of photography, the do’s & don’ts and how to get over the fear of photographing strangers in the streets. From candid shots to street portraits, we will look at different techniques to tell a story in a frame. Through examples from her collective body of work, Valerie will show you how to improve your own visual direction. Learn to see and harness light to make more powerful images with stronger compositional techniques. Whether you are photographing nature, people or everyday objects, the methods and insights shared in this presentation will bring your photography to a new level. You will leave with a renewed vision.
Valerie’s educational talk will occur in our classroom on Saturday, November 12th from 11:00am to 12:30pm. A photo walk will immediately follow, and should last roughly two hours. Location is TBD, but will be close to Looking Glass (within 10-minute drive).
